Quarterback Brett Favre was selected NFL All-Pro for the third consecutive season in 1997 after leading the NFL in TD passes (35), finishing 2nd in passing yards (3,867) and third in passer rating (92.6).

 

 

 

"The Minister of Defense", Reggie White, had yet another Hall of Fame calibur season in 1997 with 11 QB sacks, 2 fumble recoveries, and 31 tackles.  He was selected NFL All-Pro for the 12 consecutive season.

Halfback Dorsey Levens enjoyed his best season as a pro in 1997 as he tied for the team lead in touchdowns with 12 and ranked 4th in the NFL in rushing yards (1435) and yards per carry (4.4) en route to his only appearance in the Pro Bowl.

Wide Receiver Antonio Freeman stepped up his game in 1997 as he finished 7th in the NFL in receiving yards (1243), 8th in receptions (81), and 12th in receiving TD's (12).  He led the Packers in all three categories.

Strong Safety Leroy Butler was selected All-Pro for the third time in his career in 1997.  He led the Packers with 5 interceptions and finished second on the team in tackles with 71.

Defensive Tackle Gilbert Brown was a tremendous asset for the Packer defense as a run stuffer and space eater in the middle of the field.
