Wide Receiver Randy Moss fell to the Vikings who drafted him with the 22nd overall pick.  Moss made all of those teams who bypassed him look foolish in 1998, Moss's rookie campaign.  Moss caught 69 passes for 1,313 yards and 17 TD's.  His yardage and touchdown marks led the Vikings deep corps of receivers.

Wide Receiver Cris Carter led the Vikings in receptions with 78 in 1998.  He finished second on the squad with 1,011 receiving yards and 12 TD's.

Halfback Robert Smith missed two games in 1998, but still ran for 1,187 yards and 6 touchdowns in 1998.
